The Quatre Vallees ski region is one of the best in the world: it is large, suitable for beginners and advanced, and has some of the best off-piste trails in the world. Several high peaks, up to 3300m, guarantee it is snow sure throughout the season. La Tzoumaz is well positioned in the area: it has several long slopes on Savoleyres mountain, mostly North facing ensuring good snow quality, and it is interesting for both beginners and advanced. With Verbier one descent away, the top of the Mont Fort can be reached quickly.
Options beyond alpine skiing and boarding:
- Ski touring: the area has several frequented routes for ski touring (for example the Rosa Blanche, from the backside of the Mont Fort). More information and guides can be found via the Office du Tourisme.
- Sledging: La Tzoumaz features the longest sledge descent of Valais - not for the faint hearted!
- Snow shoe trails: several marked trails of different exercise levels are available (information at the Office du Tourisme).
